Nothing quite like starting the weekend off by having your project canceled. Ah well, at least now I don't have to fix that ugly bug I just discovered in the way my asynchronous loading code interacts with the collision system.
Note to our (former) publisher: I'd be cashflow positive too if I didn't have to pay my bills.
Ouch.. that sucks.. nothing like spending several months working your ass off on a project that will never see the light of day.
At least you learned, right?
I'll buy you a drink when I'm in LA next week :)
Thank you, by the time you get here I'll be sober again.
Ooof... do not, under any circumstances (but especially if there are no pretty girls to impress) ever, for any reason imaginable, gargle shots of 151.
On the bright side I did learn a significant amount about async loading and the issues surrounding it. The project I'm getting transfered to is in need of someone to set up similar systems for them. As an added bonus the lead on that project actually knows what he's doing and understands abstraction, so my job should be made significantly easier.

Posted by: Katy at May 11, 2003 09:58 AMDoesn't seem like anyone's getting axed (even if they really should be. Ah well.
