For the record, we did a headcount at work and everyone's accounted for. Nice to know that the company president was concerned about us.

If the guy couldn't stop the car, seemed to be hitting the gas instead of the brake... why was he driving the car in the first place? If you can't remember which is the gas pedal and which is the brake, you should not be behind the wheel. Also, if you were concerned with hurting people, why not try to veer yourself off the road and stop the car some other way? I'd rather try hitting trees obliquely or something than running a barricade into a pedestrian market. Maybe that's me. I've never been in that situation.
